Frequently asked questions.
Do you take insurance?
Yes, I am an in-network provider with most commercial insurances and state insurance.
If I am not in-network with your insurance, I can provide you with a super bill to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement. I encourage you to contact your insurance to inquire about out-of-network benefits.
I also offer self-pay options if you prefer to waive insurance benefits.
Can we meet virtually?
As long as you are located in the state of Connecticut during our sessions, we can meet virtually.
How long are sessions?
Sessions typically last anywhere from 50-55 minutes. I am open to exploring different session lengths based on your needs.
What if I’ve never engaged in therapy before?
That’s completely okay! I’ll walk you through the process and create a space where you feel comfortable and supported. Together, we will build a therapeutic relationship that meets your needs. If it doesn’t feel like the right fit, I am happy to assist with referrals to other providers.
What can I expect from our first session?
During our initial intake session, I will take the time to get to know you, asking questions about your history, goals, and current life experiences. You can share at your own pace. We’ll then collaborate on setting therapeutic goals—if you’re unsure, that’s completely fine; I’m here to support you.
How often will we meet for sessions?
I typically meet with clients weekly at first. As you make progress or feel the need for a different session frequency, we can discuss and adjust accordingly.
How do I schedule an appointment?
You can reach out by completing the contact form on my website, I will then I’ll follow up via email to schedule a free 15 minute consultation phone call to explore whether it’s a good fit and further discuss scheduling options.
Can you prescribe medications?
While I have knowledge of psychotropic medications, I do not prescribe them. However, if medication management would be beneficial, we can discuss referrals to providers who specialize in that care.
